Products
With a focus on grinding technology and surface treatment, and in combination with a wide variety of minerals, Fimatec products are designed to meet the needs of customers.
-
- Heavy & precipitated calcium carbonate
-
Limestone can be said to be Japan’s only self-sufficient mining resource. Fimatec ensures the highest quality limestone in Japan, and conducts research, excavations, and analyses of ore deposits through its overseas networks. We have established a stable supply system both domestically and abroad.
-
- Magnesium hydroxide
-
Magnesium hydroxide, which is produced primarily in China and Russia, begins decomposition at 350℃ by separation of water of crystallization. The endothermic reaction and the dilution effect of combustion gas caused by water vapor results in a flame retardant effect. Fimatec has its subcontracting plant in China process the natural magnesium hydroxide and exports it to Japan and other countries.
-
- Kaolinite
-
It is widely used worldwide as a aluminum silicate mineral product of hexagonal plate shapes, and has proven to improve the physical properties of paper, paints, resin additives, and ceramic materials, as well as improve barrier properties.
-
- Talc
-
It is a very soft mineral with a Mohs hardness of 1, mined in countries such as the United States, China, India and Pakistan. It is stable against heat and chemicals. Taking advantage of its high aspect ratio and lipophilic properties, the mineral is used in a wide range of fields, often as a reinforcing material for resin, but also for ceramics and paints. Fimatec imports and sells U.S. talc, but has expanded its network to other producing countries.
